About the club

History of Central Kempo Ju-jitsu School. The club was founded in 1991 by John Scott and Robert Ramage who were students of Kempo Ju-jitsu, run by European Kempo Champion sensei Colin Elder 6th dan in Falkirk.

Since parting company with Colin Elder we advanced up a few avenues and finally joining the WORLD & BRITISH FEDERATION OF MARTIAL ARTS. It was when we were on a martial arts course run by W.B.F.O.M.A. in Looe, Cornwall we met up with shihan Mark Kemp 8th Dan Kempo Kung-fu co - founder and Chief instructor of SHIN GA DO, a few months later we joined the Shin Ga Do. The club has been on many courses and weapons classes across the U.K.

Our club meets up in Manchester on a regular basis to train with a variety of clubs and qualified Instructors ranging from 10th dan to black belt, In the field of gung-fu, ju-jitsu, karate, aikido & various weapons. The policy within the association is to be open minded and have no politics. In our club our policy isn’t how quick you can become a Black Belt but how good you can become one. Central Kempo Ju-Jitsu School has trained in Maddiston Community Hall for the past 10 years .

Training days are Sundays and Thursdays, so come along and train in a friendly environment. ROBERT RAMAGE 6TH DAN KEMPO JU-JITSU.

Head Shot i was the smallest in my class so as you can imagine i was an easy target all the way through my school years;
after my 16th birthday i decided to do something about it cos i was determined not to be bullied my whole life. i heard about a karate club in falkirk run by colin elder
so one of my mates joined with me. i soon built up my confidence and was enjoying life with new mates and a real goal in life. it was there i met john scott and when we were high enough grades we soon moved on to bigger and better things. we wanted more out of martial arts and that is when we met hanshi mark kemp in cornwall. after a while we were asked if we wanted to join the shin-ga-do and i havent looked back since.i now run a club with new members joining from time to time, get to go on courses and be respected and also respect other fellow martial artist's.
when i started up the martial arts i never in my wildest dreams expect to get to where i am to-day.
thanks to every-one n shin-ga-do who has helped me reach this goal.
